Shipping Policy

Step by Step offers both standard and express shipping options via Australia Post.

Any orders with FREE SHIPPING will be processed as standard shipping.

Orders are processed within 2 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) of receiving your order confirmation. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.

A delay in shipping can occur for certain products sold online.

Please contact our staff with any questions in regards to shipping times for your order. 


A lot of our stock is readily available for orders. If your item says available on backorder please allow  10 – 14 days for delivery.

Domestic Shipping Rates

Standard shipping: We offer $10.00 flat rate shipping to within Australia

Express Shipping: We offer $17.00 flat rate express shipping within Australia

FREE SHIPPING: Free shipping available for all orders over $100.00, excludes oversized items. 

If you purchase an oversized item through our webstore there will be additional shipping costs associated with that product. 

In-store pickup

Skip the shipping fees with our free in-store pickup option, orders can be collected from Step By Step Dancewear and will be held safely by our staff until collection is made. After placing your order online and selecting in-store pickup at the checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1-3 business days, staff will contact you with any extended wait times for specific items. You will receive notification in the form of an email, text or phone call when your order is ready to be collected. 

Our in-store pickup hours are 9:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9am-4pm Saturdays.

Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.

If you haven’t received your order within 7 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
